Naturally, all the other elves in Mrs Claus' kitchen blamed each other. Katie said it was Ana and Ana said it was Minelle, and Minelle stamped her foot and also said it was Ana, and Cat said it could have been either of them. Or, of course, it could have been Cat. Or Terps. Or Sue.
I just kept my head down and my smug smile to myself... (Well, wouldn't you when you knew that one of the prizes on offer is a Wooden Spoon and Spatula Set!) I just got on happily helping Mrs Claus mix up her Christmas puddings. (Smug smile!) I'm a good elf, I am. (Ha!)
In fact I'm so good I will now present the evidence.
Now, naturally you have to imagine the "back view" of knickers that have been pulled down in order to spank the elf! However, I am sure you will agree that my knickers, which are in the final picture, do not resemble the spotty knickers worn by the red-bottomed elf, in the slightest!
So, who does that leave around here with spotty knickers? Hmmmm....
How will the advent calendar work, Ana style? There will be rules. Of course there will be rules.
- Sign up! Be sure to leave your email address so I can contact you if you are a winner! This will ensure that I track your comments to give you credit for each day that you play. If you have any trouble leaving a comment, please let me know immediately by email. If you do not sign up, you will not get credit for your entries!
- Play daily. Leave a comment responding to a post or answering a daily Advent Calendar question. Only one comment per post will count as an entry, but you are welcome and encouraged to leave additional comments as part of the conversation.
- Check for the winner list on Christmas Day! Those who participate the most will win!
Yup, that’s it! Oh, you want more rules? Well, if you insist.
- Surprise Checks! Prizes will be awarded during random “surprise checks” throughout the month. It may be the first person to post on a certain day, a randomly selected commenter on a randomly selected day, the first person to mention a secret word, or anything else. Surprise!
- Perfect Attendance award! Everyone who comments every day (by midnight EST on the day of each post) of the month will win a small surprise.
- Free book days! A few authors will be offering one or more books free on select days in December. Check for details on the blog throughout the month.

TO CELEBRATE ST KNICKERLESS DAY - 6TH DECEMBER - YOUR VERY OWN AMI STARSONG IS GIVING AWAY A PAIR OF KNICKERS!
THEY ARE VERY PRETTY KNICKERS YOU JUST WON'T BE ABLE TO WAIT TO BE SPANKED IN! (SEE THE KNICKERS WORN BY THE NAUGHTY ELF IN THE CORNER?) WELL, JUST LIKE THOSE!
YES, OKAY, I ADMIT, JUST LIKE THE SPOTTY PAIR ABOVE... (Now let me run for the hills!!! Shriek!!!)
Ana and I had a lot of fun talking "knicker talk" the other day. She said that she could just imagine my conversation with Dan.
"Honey, can I have some money for a prize, plus postage?"
"What for?"
"Well, I want to send a pair of knickers."
"Ami, no! Do you know what kind of sick people will come out of the woodwork if you offer that?"
"I don't mean used ones! Clean ones! Brand new!"
"That's supposed to make it better?"
"Oh, please let me. It's for Ana's Advent Calendar."
"Why does she want knickers for that? I don't think you should talk to that girl any more. She sounds like an odd duck."
"No, Dan, I swear, it's not like that!"
Tee hee! Odd duck! Tee hee! I am just glad Dan doesn't read this banter! (Do ducks wear knickers?!)
Artwork by Minelle Labraun
Graphic design by Katie
LOL!
ReplyDeleteAmi, you're a nut and a duck and everything else to describe a hilarious lady. :D Looking forward to St. Knickerless Day!
Busted!
DeleteIf this is anything to go by, so far, then the whole Advent Calendar event will be terrific!
Hugs
Ami
Ami, St Knickerless day? You are one crazy woman!
ReplyDeletelove,
George
Yes, George. Never heard of it?! LOL!
Delete(Laughter uses more muscles and calories than frowning!) So, yes, I am a crazy woman!
Hugs
Ami
lmbo aren't we all odd ducks? oh wait I'm a turkey. can't wait to see what this calendar is all about.
ReplyDeleteHi Coral! I suppose, truthfully, we are a whole yard-full of odd ducks! LOL! The calendar will be great!
DeleteHugs
Ami
Ami...you goof! Who has the spotted knickers in their possession? So I do have to believe that just maybe that is our very own Elf Ami in the corner! Sure isn't me...I am not that skinny!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing who wins the knickers!
Oh and Dan...we are all odd ducks! :D
Hugs and Blessings...
Cat
LOL! Busted yet again!
DeleteThis is going to be SUCH a funny event! I can't imagine what Ana has in store. Probably standing us ALL in the corner, Cat, so beware!
Hugs
Ami
Now that you mention it, it's a great idea!
DeleteThe spotted knickers look suspiciously like they were photographed at the same location as the unspotted ones... hmmmm... Are you certain they're not yours?
ReplyDeleteHi Chickadee!
DeleteI was wondering when someone would notice! (My shadow kept getting in the way when I was trying to photograph them - anyone coming upon me at the time would've phone for the men in their little white coats immediately! LOL!)
I just love spotty knickers! LOL!
Hugs
Ami
Ami!! :) How WONDERFUL of you to donate that pair of knickers which resemble the ones that I am quite sure belong to our very own Anastasia, the naughty elf in that corner!!! You are sooo generous!!! :) Maybe you both are the elves in the corner??? Minelle, you forgot to add Ami on to that beautiful drawing!!!
ReplyDeleteOh no worries, I saw you smirking and I am going to tell Mrs. Claus to keep you in mind for the Katie T Special spatula and spoon set. After all, it might be fun for Dan to play swat the Christmas colored polka dots?? LOL! Many hugs,
<3 Katie
Katie, this keeps getting funnier and funnier!
DeleteOh no, I told you, I am the good elf, just out of the picture, mixing up the Christmas puddings! With lots of brandy!
Just you make sure you direct that wooden spoon and spatula set to Ana or Cat or Minelle! And leave my polka dots out of it.....
Hugs
Ami
Ami...as much as you keep talking about and imbibing brandy, wine, etc...I do believe you were in the other corner with your spotted panties down! :D
DeleteLoL Ami, looking forward to St Knickerless day! Odd ducks indeed LoL
ReplyDeleteOh dear, it seems the silly season has hit. Me thinks some of my dear blogland friends may have been partaking it a little too much eggnog already LoL :)
Hugs,
Roz
Roz, if I were you I'd be careful around here...
DeleteThe whole Advent Calendar event promises to be really good.
Eggnog? Now there's an idea. I've never made any as it is more an American thing I think. We do have Dutch Advocaat which I love. And Limoncello, which is Italian and I must introduce it to Katie as it is very alcoholic! But I am now determined to make some eggnog.
Does anyone know and can they tell me - do you serve it hot or cold?
Hugs
Ami
LOL Ami!!! It's usually only chard around here at night, unless we go out or it's a holiday! I think that I have had Limoncello before at my in laws long ago. Never heard of the other though! I will look up. :)
DeleteAs for your eggnog education, we usually buy it at the grocery store and then doctor it up with bourbon or brandy or whatever we feel like, and then add nutmeg, etc. You can buy a light version as well. I don't do that great with it because it is creamy. The kids like it without the alcohol. Around our place, we would have it for a holiday or party.
This recipe looked really good! I will try to make it this season, as it would be fun to make from scratch:
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/eggnog-recipe2/index.html
You would serve cold! :) Enjoy!
Ami...there ya go...talking about more booze! You definitely are in that other corner!
DeleteAmi and Katie...I make my own eggnog and am posting my recipe plus one a friend sent me tonight.
Thanks you pair! Now what does this say about us?! The Dutch Advocaat is how I imagine Egg Nog to be. You can also make a cocktail with it called a Snowball if you are interested. Our daughter drinks it at Christmas so we always have to have the ingredients in the cupboard!
DeleteI know they're not mine, I have no spotted undies. I do have leopard, striped, flowered, squiggly things, but no spotted ones. I'm a good girl. (hides face while she smirks).
ReplyDeleteWell Holla, you are missing out is all I can say!
DeleteThere are lots of good girls around here - but lots of naughty elves! Watch out for Mrs Claus! She packs a very hard wooden spoon!
Hugs
Ami
Sheesh would you tell me when you post? I must be too busy making and drinking the Egg Nog! First off Ms. Ami....I only stamp my foot sometimes! AND I drew the picture!!!! It is indeed Ms Ana....BUT I have a mind to add some other ladies into the picture!
ReplyDelete1) AMI
2) CAT
3) Katie
Maybe I will add Terps and Sue too.. Maybe Sunny and PK as well. I guess as long as I am kept out of the corner myself.....
Just remember Minelle...just because you draw pictures of us in the corner does NOT mean we actually belong there...that's just your fantasy! Let's just check with Mrs. C and see who REALLY belongs in the corner...I do believe the following people belong in the corner: Minelle the denier...Amy the boozer...Katie the troublemaker...Ana the instigator...Terps the procrastinator...Sunny the scatterbrain...PK the needs a spankin' bad! And I am sure that Mrs. C. will agree with me! :P
DeleteI shall most definitely do eggnog this coming weekend! Got lots of eggs in readiness! Just need to buy some brandy...
DeleteI am wondering just how many corners Mrs Claus' kitchen has? Could be a big kitchen with irregular walls and lots of corners! And that spoon certainly looks as if it is well-used! Gulp!
Hugs
Ami
I have never seen a kitchen with that many corners! I think Mrs. Claus has an elf queue along the wall.
DeleteI am glad you posted pictures of your polka-dot panties! I've been imagining you wearing the kind of knickers that go to just below the knee, like long bloomers. I thought you were very quaint! ;-)
I found this post linked in Ana's post today. I'm with Minelle - let us know when you post! ;-)
Believe me, nobody crosses Mrs Claus!
DeleteIrishey!!!! LOL! Long bloomers indeed! Although, sadly, I remember when I was about 15 there was a craze for bloomers that came half way down your thighs and were very bright colours and spotted, striped, with flowers on etc and lace around the legs. We all wore them with short skirts so that they peeped out underneath, and we used to do anything that cause our skirts to lift and show them off. Those were the days!
I hate thongs because they remind me of cheesewire and I don't think look all that attractive unless you have a model butt. But pretty knickers are a girl's best friend. Almost.
Hugs
Ami
I'm with you on the limited body type for thong-wearing. Even when I had that body, I only wore one thong, one time, for a very short time. Omg, that was.... I've almost always had very long hair, and every once in awhile one that has fallen out manages to work its way south. So irritating. Requires immediate removal. The thong was so much worse. Somebody has to explain how they can stand wearing butt floss all day every day. Lol! Not judging, honestly. All in good fun. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI once wore a thong and had to remove it half way through the day! In fact, I don't even think I got to the halfway mark. Going knickerless was preferrable! They cut right in to your bits!
ReplyDeleteYou had me rolling around when you were talking about your long hair - I wasn't quite sure what you were referring to..... Especially when you said "Requires immediate removal"!!! I am now hysterical!
Oh, good grief. ROTFLOL! I should have been more explicit! Not THOSE hairs - those would be the short hairs, even if they were extra long. Omg. I'm dying over here!
