Borrowing a Meme

I've borrowed this from PK, who borrowed it from Hermione!

The phone rings.  Who do you want it to be?
Definitely not a 'cold-caller'!!!

When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?
I do my grocery shopping over the internet so they deliver!

In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener?
It depends on how many glasses of wine I've consumed!

Do you take compliments well?
I say 'Thank you' then I surreptitiously look behind me in case they were intended for someone else.

Are you an active person?
I love gardening, and going on long country rambles.  That's about my limit these days.

If abandoned alone in the wilderness, do you survive?
I think I probably could so long as I wasn't too cold.

Did you ever go to camp as a kid?
No, I hated camping then, and I still do.

What was your favourite game as a kid?
I loved board games and we played things like Monopoly and Scrabble a lot. In fact, we still do.

A sexy person is pursuing you, but you know, that he/she is married, would you?
I would be flattered - but I'm in love with my husband.

Are you judgemental?
Sometimes, although I know I shouldn't be.

Do  you like to pursue or be pursued?
Back in the day, I preferred to be pursued.  Now I have Dan!

Use three words to describe yourself.
Naughty and mischievous.

If you had to choose, would you rather be deaf or blind?
I would prefer to learn to lip read than not to see the beauty of the world all around me.

Are you continuing your education?
Not any more, and I've finally given up teaching others too.

Do you know how to shoot a gun?
Only a shot gun.

How often do you read books?
I have a Kindle, and I download books all the time.  I like to try to read at least some of the bestsellers - occasionally one of them really makes an impression on me.

Do you think more about the past, present or future?
Probably all of them in equal measures.

What is your favourite children's book?
The Hungry Caterpillar

Where is your ideal house located?
Where we have lived for the last thirty years.

Boxers, briefs, thongs, panties or grannies?
Snug fitting, high cut boy shorts with plenty of lace.

Last person you talked to?
Dan

Have you ever taken pictures in a photo booth?
Yes, I always do it for my passport photographs.  Perhaps that is why I always look like a convict?!

What are your keys on your keychain for?
Home, daughter's home, MIL's home and my car.

Where was the furthest place you travelled today?
Just up and downstairs so far...

Where is your current pain?
In my shoulder, but not as bad as it was thank goodness.

Do you like mustard?
Love it!  Especially French wholegrain mustard from Dijon.

Do you prefer to sleep or eat?
Sleep, but eating comes a close second.

Do you look like your mom or dad?
More like my dad, but apparently as I get older I am looking more like my mom.

How long does it take you in the shower?
Around fifteen minutes I suppose, but I've never timed myself.

What movie do you want to see right now?
After Earth

What did you do for New Year's?
Ate dinner and partied with friends, and ended up with a spanking for embarrassing Dan!

What was the cause of your last accident?
A fall from a horse.

I'd love to know what all the answers to all these memes are meant to mean! Does anyone know?  Usually there is a grid and when I work out what my answers are worth, I find I would really have preferred not to have done it in the first place.

  1. Wait they are supposed to mean something??? :-) LOL Seriously, loved your answers. Always fun to learn little tidbits about friends. :-) If you find out what the answers are supposed to add up to mean, let me know so I can edit mine if necessary. :-) Hugs

  2. Oh my, if I had known they were the basis for analysis I would have answered completely differently :)
I wonder how far away you are, because if we both get abandoned in the wilderness I going to be heading over to you!

    1. I think there is probably some crazed scientist, somewhere, analysing all of these memes!

I wonder how far away we are too. I discovered someone who lives less than an hour away, and we have met up and chatted on the phone.

The wilderness around here is flat and predictable - just the occasional frenzied rabbit or muntjack deer!

    2. That's me, less than an hour away and a good day out too. I am hopeless in the wilderness and will be heading to Ami's in a crisis lol

  3. Great answers. I don't think it's really meant for analysis, just more of a way to get to know each other.

    1. The only reason you didn't get spanked on New Year's Eve is because your Scotsman is too easy on you! LOL

    2. Or she plied him with so much of "the good stuff" that he was seeing double and didn't know which one to spank, so he gave up trying! LOL!

    3. Well, actually it was an hour or so into the new year by the time I got a bum warmer!

  7. Cute answers Ami. ;) Silly woman...these memes don't "mean" anything...just a way for all of us to learn more about each other.

Spanking on New Year's Eve for embarrassing Dan? Oh say it ain't so! ROFLMBO
Happy to hear your shoulder is not hurting as much.

    1. It's no good, I shall have to educate all you yankies about us limie's senses of humour!! I am cracking up trying to write this!

As for the spanking, it so definitely was so! But we had barely begun then. I'm thinking that now it would be much worse. He's learnt how to swing now!

      Thanks Cat!

  8. Love you answers Ami, perhaps there is some correlation between your three words to describe yourself and getting spanked on New Years Eve ... sheesh! LoL

I'm so with you on the mustard (another born brit :) Our US friends don't know what they're missing!

I'm so glad to hear your shoulder is feeling a bit better.

    1. This is so true! Love the word "correlation"!!! LOL!

Yay! Another mustard lover. It has to be French though. (I will convince them yet!)

  9. Loved it :)

I also didn't know they mean anything, god I'm glad I don't do many, I'm already known as unstable haha

Ok you really would survive in wilderness?? And can shoot a shutgun?? You one hard lady :) I'm a complete pussy when it comes to these things lol

And wow you got a New Years spanking, well I got my butt roasted on Xmas eve lol

Maybe I should do more memes

    1. You should definitely do more memes! But don't get taken in by the American gang over there - I have an unnaturally quirky sense of humour and I love exercising it!

Yes I really can load and shoot a shotgun. I'm better with a rifle though because the kickback from a shotgun destroys my shoulder. In fact, it could be what gave me the frozen shoulder in the first place. Now what does that say for Cat?!!!! I've done archery lessons too! And lit fires using flint stones....

Anyone else want to join us in the wilderness?!!!

  12. Do you still play Scrabble? I love to play! It's just hard to convince anyone to play aboard game anymore. They all want to play games on their phones or computers.

One of my granddaughters had a Hungry Caterpillar party for her third birthday. She loved that book for a long time.

I love camping. I'll join the wilderness party! So much fun to read your meme.

    1. Yes, but it is usually at Christmas and on holiday. We usually take a "travel scrabble" with us. Our daughter severely rations the amount of TV our five year old grandson is allowed to watch, and nothing violent or he has bad dreams. Luckily he gets lots of homework, even at five, and so by the time he is finished he feels too tired to anything other than go to bed. They have some playing fields with a skateboard park not far from where they live, and she often takes him there after school with his scooter, and there are always lots of children there of all ages with their scooters or mountain bikes. The big ones are very good and protective of all the smaller ones. It's good to see all the ages between five and eleven interact.

What a wonderful idea to have a Hungry Caterpillar Party! I am so impressed. The book is quite adorable. I bought it long ago for my own children but it seems to be just a popular today.

Well, I hate camping. And the thought of having to build rain proof shelters and dig holes for the necessary does nothing for me whatsoever! But I could do it if it was a case of surviving. If there are wild animals around it might be a good idea to build a platform up in the trees, but we'll pretend it's England shall we? I can't cope with wolves and bears at this stage! LOL!
