Different Thoughts - Different Things

I have been flying round for the past week or two like the proverbial blue-arsed fly. So this is really a hotch-potch. Just little bits and pieces.

I met up with Jan from https://dancinroses.blogspot on Wednesday. (She is such a hoot!) The weather was lousy to say the least, but we had a supremely wonderful day.

Let me tell you, Jan has lost a stone and a half in weight and I didn't recognise her at first. She looks absolutely FABULOUS! I am green with envy!

I had intended to do some Christmas shopping, but just bought myself some clothes and not a single Christmas present. (Yes, of course I bought some new knickers. A girl can never have too many pairs!)

We had a delicious lunch. I had a starter and a main, and Jan had a main and a pudding; and we had a large latte each.

In one of the stores I encountered a small problem with a lady who decided to ram a pushchair with a toddler in it into the backs of my knees, and then when I turned round in pained surprise she proceeded to have a go at me for not appearing to know which direction I was walking. I was too taken aback to think up a retort. Jan said it was classic "Pushchair rage". LOL!

Another little activity that has been going on in the Starsong household this week has been my "Week of Spankings". A type of challenge in a way. But not what you think.

A week ago I had my birthday. I said to Dan in horror that I couldn't possibly manage all that number of spanks in one go, especially since I only had his spanks on his behalf only a month ago. So it was agreed that I should get ten spanks a day for a week. (There were extras tacked on to the last day to make up the ten, before you say anything!) These spanks were to be of the type that you most definitely feel. No shillying and shallying about with warm ups. No "Is that okay, can you feel it, does it hurt?" type of spanks. I would accept whatever implement was chosen and accept any calibre of spanks that came my way. Ha! Moi? Hmmm....

The first day I was spanked with his hand. It stung, but it wasn't too bad, although I think I had seven all in the same spot on one side and only three the other. I suddenly realised that ten is nothing at all. Good grief. Anyone can take ten spanks.

The second day I was upended in such a way that I was practically doing a handstand on the floor. This time my sit spots received attention.

"Ow, ow ow! Golly I hate that spatula."

"I'm not using the spatula. I'm using my hand."

"But you used your hand yesterday."

"That was my right hand. I'm using my left today. I'll be using the spatula tomorrow."

See? Men's logic? No, I don't understand either.

The third day, the spatula make its appearance. Hateful, horrible thing. I think I shall send it to Katie! She needs a new one. This one has only had one careful owner! When I suggested how much I hated it I counted several 'extras'. When I happened to mention them, I got several more!

Men's logic again!

The fifth day got missed as it was "baby minding day" and I have to be up at the crack of dawn and after that it completely slipped Dan's mind. We are both too exhausted and need stiff gins by the time 'mother collects youngster' in the evening!

The sixth day was the Rose paddle. Because he had to make up for the previous day, Dan went berserk with it - or so it seemed to me. I lost count after the first five because it hurt and I couldn't concentrate. I told him that I should just hate it if he made me count my spanks like some people. I should probably still be being spanked now as I just cannot think and say "Ow!" at the same time.

The final day was today. The salad server, which hasn't made an appearance in centuries, was found and brought out for the grand finale. Sadly I was bent over the footboard (which I hate because it stretches everything) and Dan added lots of extras. He concentrated specifically on my sit spots. After each one or two swats I sprang upright doing my Jack-in-a-box impersonation. In fact I perfected it. How do you all stay down?! I just cannot! It sears the skin! Fries it! Dan started to laugh at me. I thought, "This is where I pout and either join in and laugh, or I start to cry." Luckily I laughed, and Dan stopped, parked the implement in my butt crease (he has a horrid habit of doing that) and then we both fell about laughing.

We laughed even more when I looked at the two perfectly round bright scarlet patches he had created. When I sat down for breakfast (on a cushion I hasten to add) it wasn't exactly painful, but it felt very 'burny' and itchy. I studied my bottom again when I got out of the shower but there wasn't a single sign of redness. All gone. Just a tingle left for a couple of hours, and then that was gone too.

Dan has commented that I have been on a high all week. Not a sign of my usual attitude. What? Moi? You've got to be joking!

I think the spankings were the equivalent of "happy pills". They kept my spirits up even when stressed. I can heartily recommend this "week of spankings" tactic next time you have a birthday if you feel you don't want to tackle the whole lot in one go.

The other thing is that I didn't have to remind Dan once that he had said he would spank me every morning for a week. He remembered just fine, even though initially he was not too sure about it all. In fact by the end of the week the spanks were definitely rather more plentiful that I think they should've been. I wonder if he could've secretly enjoyed them?

Finally, the last thing I want to mention is that tomorrow (Saturday 6th December) is St Knickerless Day on Ana's Advent Calendar. You can find it on https://governingana.wordpress.com and this year I have written a little "ghost story" especially for Christmas!

It doesn't have a single spank in it, but I do hope it will lift the hairs on the back of your necks a little. I wanted to do something a bit different.

I will be picking a name (from all those who comment) out of a hat (a large mixing bowl) and the lucky winner will be the recipient of a pair of Ami's special knickers

together with a little 'secret something'. Similar to these!

I do hope you will all support me especially as Ana works so hard on the Advent Calendar each year. It would be nice if you might sample a few of the other days. There are recipes, stories, funny incidents. All very enjoyable. You might even read about an elf or two!

See you all tomorrow!

    1. Oh Meredith, yes they were delicious. They were (mostly) those types of spanks that are "just on the edge". The type you aren't quite sure of, but you want to keep going.

I think on the whole I was the only naughty one whilst out shopping. Jan was very good and didn't buy anything for herself at all. I'll bet she's polishing her halo as we talk.

  2. Hi Ami!!! Well first of all, let me tell you that Rob has something to say and so here it is. His dictation from about two minutes ago:

"Tell Ami to tell Dan that the idea of parking the implement in the crack is brilliant, and will be used often as a resting spot during our sessions!" Now picture Rob laughing and laughing! Okay he has now stopped! That man of mine!!! SHeesh!!!

I made the mistake of reading your post to Rob about a half hour ago. Rob laughed about the spatula thing. Thank you very much- I have a replacement presently. That is a well used spatula around her FOR EGG MAKING!!! Surely the kids would miss it. So... sigh... I got a new one yesterday. It is not the red Christmasy one though! At the same time I did see a baking thing that looked useful FOR ALL THE CHRISTMAS baking that is coming up and got that too. That one IS red! It looks like this: http://www.amazon.com/Chefn-Switchit-All-Purpose-Silicone-Spatula/dp/B00276BXQ0.

So just a few minutes ago, Rob decided that he would like to "try out" the new silicone spatula on yours truly "for fun". He had me pull my pants down and lean over on the kitchen counter. OK- I am not a fan! Rob chuckled and said it is his new "go to"! And then, he did what all good HoH's do in the brotherhood of spanking! He tried out Dan's crack holding method with a "keep it there until I tell you!" And then he howled with laughter and told me to send his message! Ummmm... This is QUITE creative of your Dan! Ummmm... See what he started???? LOL!! We were cracking up!

Your birthday spankings sounded pretty darn sweet! Your "jack-in-the-box" action made me giggle! Glad that you enjoyed! And how FUN to have spent time with Jan! I cannot wait to venture that way one of these days! I am looking forward to your post at Ana's! Many hugs and sheesh! I hope Rob forgets this new action... How we laughed!

    1. Katie this is just marvellous! You have made me laugh till I cried.

I told Dan all about it (he was in the shower at the time) and he was horrified that I had told everyone what he did. But then his ego got the better of him and he laughed too, and even made a few suggestions! LOL! ie, your implement cannot be 'top heavy' or it won't 'stay' in the crease. LOL! That man! So you need a long flattish spatula, not an 'egg-turning' one! LOL!

    2. LOLOL Ami!! :) I just reread my comment and we sure had fun over it all last night! And I noted that I said, "We were cracking up!" Oh that's for sure- or filling cracks! LOL!!! That new red other kind of spatula that I purchased, the new one that Rob "practiced Dan's methods" with is flat as can be. Good grief! What has my life become- spatulas sitting in my bottom crack after having had my husband experiment with a new spanking tool!! LOL!!! Life sure is pretty fun and great these days! I must be losing my mind! ...in a good way! HA!

Glad that you had a good laugh! I just started my day out with the same, thank you and thanks to you and Dan. Please express my sincere gratitude for Dan's mentoring of my husband and Sir Rob! I'll take it from here! LOLOL!!!! You two are great! Enjoy your day and I LOVED your writing over at Ana's. I have to go back round and comment! Many hugs to you both,

    1. Well, Leigh, when you get to a certain age you need to break these events down into smaller units - either that or not sit for a week! LOL!

  4. Hey Ami aka Jack-in-the-Box! After Dan's comments regarding your attitude, maybe you need to start each morning with at least 10. I do so love the way you tell the stories. Perhaps the salad server along with any other hated implement could go missing when you move. *snicker* And if Dan finds out, blame it on me...I don't mind. ;)

So happy you got to visit with Jan...did you each get a paddling before meeting this time?

Oh those knickers are beautiful! Definitely looking forward to your story over at Ana's.

Hope everything is going well for you! Sending lots of positive energy your way.

    Hugs and Blessings...

    1. Dan is really strange about implements. He will use the same one for ages, and yet if I accidentally hide one of the others, he notices straightaway.

No, I didn't get a paddling before meeting Jan this time, but apparently Jan got one!

The knickers are in lots of different colours and designs, but they are ALL pretty and very comfortable.

I am just about keeping my head above water, Cat. Thanks for the positive energy, I certainly need it.

  5. I always love reading your posts Ami! They make me smile and seriously laugh out loud. And I HAD to read some of your thoughts to my hubby. I would love to have a week of spanks that equals happy pills, lol.

I'm so glad you had a lovely time with Jan again. :) But I seriously do not understand what a stone and a half is? Such a British term!

I am really looking forward to your story as well.

    1. ps: the spatula is quickly becoming my favorite implement - but maybe my hubby doesn't have as heavy a hand as Dan ;)

    2. I like our silicon thing too, maybe our husbands are kinder ;) A stone and a half is 21 pounds.x

    3. 14 pounds is 1 stone. I didn't realise in the US you don't use 'stones'. It is an old fashioned imperial measurement of weight, but I still have trouble with metric.

Dan won't use a silicon spatula for some reason. I have several, all different shapes and sizes, but they are only used in the kitchen for turning and stirring etc. Dan's hand isn't usually heavy, per se, but he flicks his wrist and it stings like the blazes. I think it was Cat who suggested he did that, right at the beginning! Hmmm....!!!

  6. Hi Ami, what a nice post. I for one am glad you didn't answer back at the pram rage woman. I would have disowned you on the spot!! It was a lovely day, rain aside and I am still cream crackered!!! I often wish we could meet some of the others in Blogland. That I suppose is the trials of the internet, without it we wouldn't know each other at all and with it we have made friends we can't actually visit!
    love Jan,xx

    1. No, I don't do 'pram rage'. Anyhow, I was too startled to do anything. Yes, my legs felt walked down to the stumps! We must certainly meet up more often. I still have loads of stuff to chat about I never thought of at the time. Great day though!

  8. I smiled throughout this post. Glad you and Jan had a great time and survived the pram rage incident.
I don't often show P blog posts, but I did this one as he liked the male logic comment.
Spatulas are really stingy and one of P's favourites.

    1. It was a great outing. Jan and I were saying that it was so great having a really "fun" day out with someone you knew shared your secret. If ever you fancy meeting up, just let us know. We are both silly, naughty and funny - and completely harmless!

Yes, male logic is not something I excel at, even after all these years of trying to come to terms with it.

Glad you agree about the spatulas! Such a simple, innocent little utensil! LOL!

  9. I love this idea for a birthday spanking. Ten good swats over a five day period - although I'm rapidly closing in on the sixth day. But that sounds great. I like the idea of the swats as well as the attention spread over the days.

I'm so glad you and Jan got together and I hope Ronnie joins you soon. Heck, I hope I join you soon!

A few spanks every day do fabulous things for the complexion of the buttocks! Mine are so smooth! Giggle!

I'll bet yours are silk-like after all these Friday spanks you are getting!

  10. It was my birthday last week. Ackkk I turned full social security age (66) for those of you across the sea. And all I got was yelled at early in the morning and told to stop making faces when he was speaking to me ( he was not speaking, he was definitely yelling!!!). No soankings at all. After that yelling, I would have been too scared to ask for a birthday soanking cause it wouldn't be fun at all. U r a lucky lady. Don doesn't spank for my fun, only for his and he thinks when I start to cry, he's just beginning. I would love a fun spanking. Sighing.

    1. Hi Jackie! Thank you so much for stopping by to comment. You are soooo welcome to drop in whenever you want to.

Have you been into 'spanking' long? I wonder, because your spankings sound a little tough.

The think we have concentrated most on is communication and telling each other how we feel. Yelling isn't too good. I am not sure if I can help, but I am here if you ever wish to talk and will answer any emails.

I would like to wish you a belated Happy Birthday. What date was your birthday? Mine was on the 27th. I was 63 and I just hate my age. So I don't often act it!

Our spankings are never for punishment. That was agreed right at the beginning, but every now and then I get one for 'discipline', usually my mouth runs away with me and Dan doesn't like disrespect or a bad attitude. He is also a bit 'funny' about keeping me safe, but we don't really have rules as such.

I wonder whether you might suggest that spankings can be fun for both of you? My pain threshold isn't very high, and there are many occasions I cry, but I am always well-hugged afterwards. I often don't care for the actual 'pain' of the spanking, but the after effects do me the power of good. They make me a much nicer person to be around.

Please email me if you ever feel the need. There are lots of us 'older' women around here. You are not alone!

    2. Ami describes it perfectly how a spanking should be. And a spanking without proper consent is abuse, dear Jackie. No woman should be abused. A loving spanking however, is a completely different thing.

Please mail Ami if you feel the need to!

  13. Hi Ami, I do love visiting here, you are such a hoot! Glad you and Jan got to spend time together again and that you had a fabulous time. Isn't she doing so well with the weight loss :)

Wishing you a belated Happy Birthday! Great idea to split the spanking over a week, although you did end up with lots of extras. Still, I'm not sure that's a bad thing :) love your comment about it being like a daily happy pill. Ah, the magic of a spanking. Perhaps Dan should continue the regime ... or not :)

I just read Katie's post where she mentioned Rob 'picking up something' from Dan. I just read her comment here and cracked up (pun intended).

I read your advent calendar story. Wow, it was fantastic! You have such a wonderful writing style and ability to draw the reader in and to create suspense.

  14. It certainly sounds like Dan enjoyed the week of birthday spankings! And yes, it definitely sounds like he suffers from having men's logic (or should I say you suffer). ;)
Spankings can be a bit like happy pills. Is that women's logic at work? *shrug* I don't know, but no need to fix what works. ;)
