These Memes Keep Coming....

I borrowed this from Sunny and I'm just wondering how many more there are out there?

Have you ever....

1  Shot a gun?  Yes, we have a shotgun.
2  Watched someone die?  Sadly, yes.
3  Served on a jury?  Luckily no.
4  Flown on a plane?  Yes, all sorts of the things!
5  Swam in the ocean?  Atlantic, Pacific and Indian.
6  Cried yourself to sleep?  Unfortunately, yes.
7  Been camping in a trailer/RV?  Yes, we call them     caravans over here, and they are not my thing!
8  Rode on an elephant?  Yes, I sat on her neck and it was VERY high up.  We wandered decorously through the jungle and her name was 'Lucy'.  The smell of elephant clung to my sandals for three years afterwards!
9  Rode on a camel?  The last time was the scariest because the boy who was meant to be leading let go and made the wretched thing gallop and I was much more wobbly than Lawrence of Arabia, and it made me feel quite seasick.
10  Been lost?  Once or twice - and Starman wasn't exactly a happy man.
11  Eaten just cookies or cake for dinner?  In my student days most definitely.  The worst dinner I had was tomato ketchup sandwiches.
12  Been on TV?  No
13  Been on the radio?  No
14  Been in a car accident?  Yes, once or twice....
15  Donated blood?  No
16  Got a speeding ticket within the last 12 months?  No, Starman would kill me - at least my bottom would be the colour of this font.
17  Gotten a piercing (not ears)?  Tempted - but  no.
18  Gotten a tattoo?  Starman, once again, would kill me, and I would sooooo love a tiny daisy on my left ankle in gold.
19  Flew in a hot air balloon?  No, but it's on the bucket list.
20  Flew in a helicopter?  Again, it's something I would love to do one day.
21  Gone parasailing?  I'd love to but I'm scared.
22  Been on a jet ski, snowmobile or dune buggy?  Had a hair-raising ride on a dune buggy once - hung on for grim death with some mad Arab at the wheel!

    1. Sunny gave me the idea of using Henna. I've had henna tattoos on my shoulders and all over my hands and they BURN! But will try anything once, or in this case twice or three times - okay four times!

If we all have daisies will it make a daisy chain?

    1. Borrow away - I borrowed it from Sunny, so blame her! Fun though isn't it, and I couldn't possibly put just 'yes' or 'no'. I'm not a minimalist person!

  3. Sounds adventurous to me. Maybe a henna tattoo. They don't last long and it might satisfy your desire.

    1. I had assumed you had a real tattoo Sunny! I was so excited. Did you know that Winston Churchill's mother had a real tattoo? It was a flower on her ankle. But I will definitely have to stick to henna because I just dare not have a real one. It is one of the things Starman gets really savage about! Shall we all do henna together?

    1. Life is too short to be serious all the time. Believe me, if you lot all came out on the town with me for an evening, we would all be having a spankafest the next day!

  5. My God, Ami, you're brave. Letting a mad Arab at the wheel in the dunes?
I did some driving through the Sahara dunes, so I know a little bit of what I'm talking about. Those dunes can be very high. Believe me, the local concept of safe driving usually only consists of knowing where to hit your camel.

    1. Oh my goodness it was hair-raising Bas! There were several dune buggies went out at once, and the drivers were trying to 'out perform' each other! At one point the buggie in front of us started to go down the dune sideways, and we all thought it was going to roll! Fortunately it didn't as the driver managed to wrestle with it and get it straight again. We were holding on with white knuckles! The dunes are HUGE. Camels are a push over after that!

    1. Yes, henna is good and you can get gold henna whereas I have never actually seen gold real tattoos, only greens and reds etc. I only do 'pretty'! I've had some beautiful henna tattoos on my shoulders at various times, and whilst in Marrakech one night in a fit of wild abandon I let a Berber lady give me a henna tattoo all over my hands (on both sides, palms and backs) and they were so very beautiful! They lasted about four weeks, gradually fading until they were gone. The children at school were simply fascinated.

  7. I think you've come out great on this. I wanted a tattoo once, just a few years ago - so glad I decided against it. Lets keep working toward all yeses except jury duty and speeding tickets!

    1. So that's five of us for henna tattoos so far? Pretty gold ones? I will look into it!

We must all keep working on the yeses - especially the exciting ones!

Would a 'glued on' jewel in the belly button be a yes? Has anyone here every done 'belly dancing'? That's another thing I'd like to try.

No, don't want speeding tickets!!!! Jury duty - okay but boring, so I don't really want it either.

    2. I never SAID you were an elephant! It just made me laugh...sheeeesh.

    3. Um, ps...your real name isn't Lucy !

    4. Elephant has a very powerful smell! It is also like sitting on 'scrubbing brushes'! Not that I ever have! But just saying.

I can't help that she was called Lucy! She was lovely. She had a pink nose!

'Adventurous' is my middle name Lucy. Believe me, I have had some fun times!

What's wrong with gin Willie? Am I missing something here? Blue Sapphire with a slice of lime, or even better, a slice of cucumber! Mother's ruin!

And of course Lucy isn't named after an elephant!

  10. Hey Ami,

I really enjoyed reading this, thank you for sharing. Oh boy, you are quite the adventurer. The camel and dune buggy ride sound like they were real experiences!

    1. The dune buggy ride was the most frightening! Riding a camel is different in every country with camels. The Arabic countries have lovely seats that you twirl your right leg around to keep you in position and are very comfortable, but in Tunisia and in the Canary Islands you ride very differently and don't feel safe. Couple that with my adventure on a camel "stallion" and you almost have a recipe for disaster. Remind me to regale you all with the tale. It is hilarious and typically "Ami"!

  11. Hi Ami! :) Sounds like there would be many a fun adventure with you! Looks like you have had some great times! Good for you! I feel as though I have been on an elephant ride as a kid. I am going to have to ask my folks... That dune buggy ride sounds like something to avoid! Hugs!
